Biography
Holly Angelique is an Associate Professor of Community Psychology. She received a Ph.D. in Ecological Community Psychology from Michigan State University. She teaches in Applied Behavioral Sciences, Women’s Studies and Community Psychology. One of her main research interests is the area of political empowerment and activism. She is currently studying the development of political empowerment in long-term environmental activists. A second interest is in feminism and social change. She has been involved in research with homeless women as well as research in the area of violence against women. She has published in the American Journal of Community Psychology, Journal of Prevention and Intervention in the Community, and The Community Psychologist. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Association for Women in Psychology, and the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA). She is currently co-editor of the Women’s Column in The Community Psychologist and Chair of the Women’s Committee in SCRA.
