Biography
Dr. Schreck is a licensed psychologist and a board certified behavior analyst, specializing in autism and mental retardation/developmental disabilities. Her expertise also includes early intervention and childhood sleep disorders. The author of numerous scholarly articles, Dr. Schreck has written for the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, the Journal of Developmental and Physical Disabilities, and Behavioral Interventions. Since 1995, she has presented her research findings at mental health and psychological conventions worldwide, among them are the 26th annual conference of the Association for Behavior Analysis in Washington, DC., the American Association of Mental Retardation in San Diego, CA, the 11th annual convention of the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual Disabilities in Seattle, WA, and the 1st annual conference of the Pennsylvania Association for Behavior Analysis in Harrisburg, PA.
Consistently acknowledged for her scholarship, Dr. Schreck has received the AAMR Academy Dissertation Symposium Award, the Ohio Board of Regents Fellow Award, and the Nellie Patrick Schoonover Award for Outstanding Achievement in Psychology. Her most recent research includes a grant to study The Comparison of Eating Behavior Between Children With and Without Autism.
