Welcome, The Capital Area Writing Project (CAWP) has enjoyed a long history as a local site of the National Writing Project (NWP), which was established at the University of California at Berkeley in 1973. CAWP is located within the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education at Penn State Harrisburg. Over 600 teachers have participated in our Summer Writing Institute and other professional development programs since 1982.
